This data is fully anonymous and does not contain personal information.

1.3 In-App Purchase Data

If you purchase the one-time “Unlimited Breed Detections” upgrade, Apple processes:

• Payment information
• Apple ID account details
• Transaction records
• Device details

This data is handled entirely by Apple, not by us.

We only receive:

• An anonymous confirmation that your purchase succeeded
• A local entitlement token stored on your device (not linked to your identity)

2. How We Use Your Data

We only process data for the following legitimate purposes:

1. To identify dog breeds based on the photo you upload
2. To operate the core functionality of the app, including verifying purchases
3. To load dog breed information from external sources such as Wikipedia
4. To diagnose bugs or crashes and improve the user experience

We do not:

• Track users for advertising
• Profile user behavior
• Permanently store photos
• Associate data with personal identities

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not share your data with external parties for marketing or advertising.

We only use third-party services essential to the app’s functionality:

3.1 MediaWiki / Wikipedia API

To display background information about dog breeds, the app uses the public MediaWiki API:

• No personal data is sent to Wikipedia
• Only the breed name is queried
• No user IDs, no photos, and no location data are transmitted
• Wikipedia content is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0, which allows reuse with attribution

Apple In-App Purchases

All payment processing is handled by Apple.
We do not have access to:

• Your payment card details
• Your full Apple ID information
• Your personal billing or identity information

4. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as needed:

• Photos → never stored
• Crash logs → stored by Apple or analytics providers for limited periods (typically 30–180 days)
• Purchase entitlements → stored locally on your device indefinitely for your convenience
